St Joe To Allow Short Term Renting For Senior PGAs



Thousands of people are going to be in the twin cities for Senior PGA Championships coming this May and in 2014. That will mean less accommodations available at local hotels and vacation rental spots. This week, St. Joe City Commissioners voted for a temporary ordinance to allow for short term rentals of homes until 2014 during special events only. The city commission must still have a public hearing and vote to make the tournament a special event and allow the vacation rentals. Community Development Director John Hodgson says many people are coming to town for the event, and that could mean more living space is needed:

For the 2012 tournament, a public hearing is scheduled Monday, November 14th at 7:30.
