Venice Rental Ban Upheld by Appeals Court

A Florida Appeals Court decided last week that an ordinance banning vacation rentals in Venice is constitutional, and now the city will decide if it wants to enforce the law.  Those opposed to vacation rental activity point to rowdy spring break crowds disrupting the city.  But local real estate brokers point out that almost all short term renters are from the over-50 crowd.  Concerns have been expressed about impacts on local restaurants and other businesses.
